So I first heard of the Privilee membership card six months after I’ve moved here! I wish someone had mentioned it to me sooner as I can’t believe what you get for your money! You basically get unlimited access to facilities in 5-star luxury resorts including their pools, private beaches, gyms, kids clubs and even tennis courts! And not only can you access some of the best resorts in Dubai but you also get discounted rates on food and drinks!

Back in Manchester I was a member at the Hale Country Club which still is one of the most sought after clubs to join with a long waitlist. The crown jewel of the club was the heated outdoor pool – which compared to the pools here – I now see is tiny! For the same monthly fee AED599 I now have access to some of the best pools ever and I cannot wait to visit them all!

Too Good To Be True?

There will always be someone who finds a fault in something. I tend to be optimistic and see the glass as half full. But as this is an informative blog and you need all the information I can give. Some may say there is a catch. Which in this case is availability.

Only a certain amount of Privilee members are allowed per venue so it’s advised get there early! But let’s say you went and it was full – so what? Go to another one! You won’t be able to reserve a spot but you can phone in and check for availability. Personally I’ve not had a problem with being turned away as I have three little ones who wake up very early. Plus I like to make the most of my day so as they say the early bird gets the worm.

They also have black-out days where you won’t be able to use your membership to enter such as on NYE, Christmas Day, Easter and so on. Each venue has different rules so be sure to check out the Privilee website for more details.

17 establishments in DUBAI!

I will start my Privilee tour with all the resorts on the Palm Island. They include the Waldorf Astoria, Sofitel, Rixos The Palm, Riva Beach Club , Kempinski Hotel and Fairmont The Palm.

I will then move onto the ones on JBR (Jumeira Beach Residence); Double Tree By Hilton, Habtoor Grand and the Sheraton. The others are dotted around Dubai and include the Conrad, Dubai Polo Club, Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek, Le Meridien Dubai, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, Palace Downtown, The Address Dubai Marina and the Westin.

Let’s hit the beach!
